Smoker's Lines
Smoker's lines, those annoying fine lines that appear above the upper lip and move vertically upward toward the nose and are not caused by smoking - as anyone who doesn't smoke but still has them can attest. Smoker's lines are caused by a loss of volume combined with the contraction of the muscles in the upper lip.
There are two ways to minimize the appearance of smoker's lines. Using Restylane injections we can provide volume to the upper lip, making the lines appear less pronounced. In addition, we can use very small amounts of Botox to relax the muscles that cause the muscle contraction in the upper lip. Both techniques are effective for minimizing the appearance of smoker's lines.
