At Celibré, we over 10 different FDA approved lasers, which allows us to successfully treat unique conditions like keloid and surgical scars. We use two different lasers, the Cynosure V-star and the Medlite C6 lasers to revise the texture and color of your scars.

During the initial treatment phase, the light energy of the lasers passes through the upper layers of the skin and is absorbed by the scar. When laser energy is absorbed by the pigmentation in the scar, the pigment is broken down and safely dissipated into the body (darker skinned patients with dark scars). For lighter skinned patients and for the textured revision, the pulse dye laser is used to close off the small blood vessels that cause red colored scars and feed the growth of fibrous tissue. By cutting off the supply of blood that these small blood vessels provide, we can cause the scar to shrink.
During the treatment, You will feel a tingling or snapping sensation. Treatments normally last between fifteen minutes and one half hour, and there is no down time for the procedures, so you will be able to return directly to work, home or school.
