What is Dysport?

Dysport is a competitor to Botox and is commonly referred to as the “Botox” of Europe. Dysport, like Botox is a powerful and popular tool in the anti-aging arsenal. It is used to diminish the appearance of wrinkles by way of injections. Together Botox and Dysport are the most common cosmetic procedure performed in the US today.

At Celibre, we prefer Dysport Injections to Botox for several reasons:

• The products use the same underlying chemical compound, Botulinum Toxin type A.
• We get a slightly longer duration with Dysport because we use more of the product at a lower cost to the patient.
• Dysport has a slightly faster onset (24 hours) than Botox.
• Dysport has a slightly larger dispersion area so we can use less of it on the forehead saving our patients money.
• Dysport is cheaper to us and cheaper to our patients.
