Other Skin Conditions Treated

Skin tags – Skin tags (or acrochordons as they are called in the medical community) are benign growths that appear as small pieces of soft, hanging skin. Skin tags are harmless growths, equally prevalent in men and women, that can number in the dozens and are genetically linked.

Warts – Warts are growths on the skin which are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They can affect people of all skin types and races. While considered a contagious virus, it is common to witness only a single member of a family with this condition. What further helps to inhibit the spread of warts is the fact that they often affect only one part of the body, without spreading to other areas, even over time. Toenail Fungus – Toenail fungal infections are common and very frustrating for those that suffer with them. The condition can be chronic, recurring over and over. Although medications can help with the condition, they are slow to act and in many cases ineffective. Using lasers for the condition is a new and promising method to eliminate toenail fungus.

Syringoma – Syringoma is a benign skin lesion which comes from eccrine cells, a scientific term referring to the cells located within sweat glands. Typically occurring during puberty or adult life, these skin lesions consist of little bumps, measuring between 1-3 millimeters in diameter. They form underneath the surface of the skin, most frequently around the eyes and eyelids, however other areas of the body (arm pits, abdomen, vulva, etc) can also be affected. They may be few or numerous in number. Click here to read more about syringoma treatment and view before and after pictures.

Sebaceous Hyperplasia – Sebaceous Hyperplasia is a benign skin condition that usually appears after the age of 30 and occurs equally in both men and women. It shows up as soft, yellow-colored papules (bumps) that often appear in groups. Sebaceous hyperplasia can be present on the face, chest, mouth, and genitals. There is no indication that sebaceous hyperplasia can transform into malignant growths. Click here to read more about sebaceous hyperplasia treatment and view before and after pictures.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra – Dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPN) is a cutaneous condition that occurs among African Americans and some Asians. It is characterized by many small, dark colored and mole like papules on the face. While completely benign, they may be cosmetically undesirable for some individuals. Morgan Freeman, an iconic film actor exhibits this condition. Click here to read more about dermatosis papulosa nigra treatment and view before and after pictures.

Hyperhidrosis - Hyperhidrosis is a fairly common condition that involves excess sweating. It is most prevalent in the hands and underarms and is caused by a malfunction of the nervous system. Hyperhidrosis can be a debilitating condition that causes those that suffer from it to avoid social contact such as hand shakes and hugs.
