Although many birthmarks may be treated effectively and safely with class IV medical lasers, there are a few small categories of birthmarks that need further evaluation (biopsy) before being consider for laser treatments.  Typically, birthmarks with hair have a higher predisposition for mutating or changing with time.  At Celibre, we do not treat these lesions inasmuch as they should be evaluated with a biopsy (by your dermatologist) because of the predisposition for mutation into a cancerous lesion.
